Talk about reinvention. From 30 year old accusations that he preached devil worship (with subliminal messages in his ‘records’ if you played them backwards) to The Osbournes, to my 8 year old singing “I am Iron Man…running over children in my mini-van,” from the back seat of the car on the way to soccer practice, Ozzy Osbourne has completely reinvented himself (or been reinvented by savvy marketers) into a great icon to promote products across different age demographics, as seen in these ads for Samsung by Leo Burnett, Chicago.
The use of the taser in the Samsung Alias 2 is a little aggressive for my ‘older’ eyes, but also notable is the diverse mix of ‘service’ people in the Samsung Propel commercial, below.
