Ugghh!
You just got Facebook down and everyone is fleeing Facebook. Now it’s all about the video! Why read something in five minutes when you can watch it on a video in less than two minutes?
All the while you are thinking, “if people just knew about me they would buy right away, because my product (idea, service, etc.) is absolutely fabulous!” And you are the best person to promote it.
Video may seem intimidating, but with your deep knowledge and a cell phone camera, you can create a marketing video that is not only good enough, but GREAT!
Here are three tips to get you started, or click on the link below for an infographic on how to create a “DIY” video that is good enough to share.
- Lighting in front of you (not behind you!): The more lighting the better, but don’t sit with a window behind you, unless you purposely want to look like you are in the witness protection program.
- No weird things in the background: Is that a flower pot on your head or are you just happy to be making a video?
- Camera at eye level or slightly above: This is a great way to engage your viewers.
