Leslie Berliant is an entrepreneur, journalist, poet, author, editor, dancer, and consultant. And, as an accomplished and prolific writer, she can clearly and convincingly tell you the theme and thread that permeates and pulls it all together.
Writing is just the beginning–as one of her teachers, Kurt Vonnegut, said, “if you are writing you are a writer.” She’s an amazing teacher as well, helping others transform their relationships to their life stories by finding their voice.

Leslie Berliant is an entrepreneur, journalist, poet, author, editor, dancer, and consultant.
She has studied with beat poet Jack Grapes, screenwriter Karin Gutman, and authors Jackie Parker, Jim Krusoe and Kurt Vonnegut. Her work has been included in the anthologies Big City Mantra and Deliver Us, and she has read her work at Hotel Café’s Tongue and Groove, Spark on Rose, Cherry Branch Gallery and other venues around New York and Los Angeles. She has also been published in numerous online and print publications including Celsias, where she was editor-in-chief, Jewish Journal, Tribe Magazine and more, and has worked as a ghost writer on several books. She is the host of the Writrix Salons, monthly readings of original written work.
In addition to her writing, she danced and performed at Gus Giordano, Futorian Dance Theater, and the American School of Russian Ballet. She is also the owner of Le Marais Chocolat, and a Founding Partner of The Rural Majority Project. She trained as a creative facilitator at the Thinkubator, has provided innovation training, marketing, communications, PR and transition consulting for corporations, organizations and individuals. She is an evangelist of creativity for creativity’s sake, and eternally grateful to all of her teachers for influencing her work and her teaching!
