There are big wins, and little wins. When we get mired in obstacles getting to the big wins, we may forget that celebrating the little things counts too.
Not eating the brownie left in the break room (or only eating one instead of the whole plate). Writing an article. Helping a connection. Landing a new client. Stop to give yourself a moment to enjoy those incremental successes.
And celebrate BIG when you can.
Whether it’s your achievement or someone you know, when something big happens, don’t let it pass without honoring it.
That’s what we’re doing today, with our conversation with Laurie Glenn.
She was recently honored with the French National Medal of Merit. Seriously. The entire country of France is honoring her. Laurie let slip that some people reacted with snark–how did YOU get that?
Please don’t ever be that person.
One person’s achievements, success and accolades don’t diminish another’s. Rather, when one person’s light shines, it invites others to be brilliant as well.
And how exciting to celebrate something so monumental with someone who has worked so hard to make positive change in the world!
Congratulations, Laurie. Oh, and by the way, we will be asking, “how did you get that?”
